About Your Therapist

Hi, I'm Lynne! I would love to be part of your self-care team. But, before I see you in my office I'd like to share a little bit about how I got my start.

My love of massage began when I was young. I remember rubbing my grandparents hands or feet when they would visit. Probably to get their attention in the beginning, then it grew into something we both enjoyed. And if you happened to sit in front of me at an assembly, or on the stairs at camp, in the bleachers at a sporting event or even during youth group, then you for sure got your shoulders rubbed...but only with your permission.

My first formal training came when I worked at Wheat Ridge Regional Center for the Developmentally Delayed, 1990 - 1993. Soft tissue mobilization was part of our residents daily therapies. Most of the residents that I worked with were physically immobilized due to contractures that had developed over the course of their lives. Massage, or soft tissue mobilization, helped them to relax prior to physical therapy. It also provided them with much needed human touch and compassion.

I have traveled many roads on my journey to becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist. I was a psych tech at WRRC, I have been a phlebotomist, an E.R. tech, a medical assistant at an urgent care and I am still a certified nursing assistant. But my proudest moment was when I passed the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in November of 2006. It was then that I knew I could truly make a difference in people's lives. My career began at a Massage Envy in Overland Park, Kansas. In 2011 I went to work at an urgent care in Raymore, Mo as a massage therapist and medical assistant. And in 2013, after much encouragement from the doctor I worked for, opened my own massage studio...Everyday Massage.  EdM was open from April of 2013 until December of 2021, when I closed my doors to move back home to Colorado. I was a successful business owner and a leading provider of massage therapy in my community. And I strive to be just that, here in Colorado Springs.
